Terms of use

These terms cover the games published by Ruby Intelligence LLC, including Synapse Neural Puzzle. They're written in plain English, and they're short on purpose. By downloading or playing one of our games you're agreeing to them.

Who this agreement is between

You, the person playing, and Ruby Intelligence LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company at 7831 Nolensville Road, Arrington, Tennessee 37014, United States.

Apple's own Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to our games. Where these terms and Apple's standard agreement say different things about the same subject, Apple's governs. Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no responsibility for the games themselves.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play our games on Apple devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You're licensing the software, not buying it. We keep everything we haven't explicitly given you here.

Neural Pro, the subscription

Synapse Neural Puzzle offers an auto-renewing subscription called Neural Pro. Here is all of it:

• What you get: no advertising at all — no full-screen ads between levels, no banners, and the option to watch an ad for extra Neurons disappears too, since there are no ads to watch. Plus 150 Neurons at the start of each billing period, and double the Neurons from the daily login bonus.
• Length and price: one month for $2.99, or one year for $19.99. Prices are in US dollars; in other countries Apple charges the equivalent in local currency, which it sets.
• It renews by itself. Neural Pro automatically renews at the end of every period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before that period ends.
• When you're charged: your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the current period ending, at the price for the period you chose.
• How to cancel: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Neural Pro there. You can also get to the same screen from the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the benefits until the period you've paid for runs out. Deleting the game does not cancel the subscription.
• Managing it: your subscription lives in your Apple Account, not in ours. Switching between monthly and annual, or turning renewal back on, is done in that same Subscriptions screen.

If a free trial or introductory offer is ever attached to Neural Pro, the terms of that offer are shown before you buy, and any unused part of a free period is forfeited if you subscribe early.

In-app purchases

Our games sell consumable Neuron packs. When you buy one the Neurons are added to your balance in that game and the purchase is finished — a consumable is used up in play and can't be restored later.

Neurons have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, transferred to another person or another device, or refunded once spent. If you delete the game, or reset your progress from the settings screen, any Neurons you were holding are gone with it.

Neurons, Evolutions, and other things in the game

Neurons, Evolutions, and anything else you unlock are a licence to use content inside the game. They aren't property, they aren't a currency, and you don't own them. We can change how they work, or how much they cost, as the game changes.

Refunds

Apple handles every purchase in our games, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that paid. We can't issue refunds ourselves, and we don't see your payment details.

If you paid for something and the game didn't unlock it, that's a different problem and it's ours. Email support@rubyintelligencellc.com and we'll fix it.

What you agree not to do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or pull apart the games, except where the law says you may and we can't stop you.
• Cheat, or modify save data, memory, or level files to give yourself Neurons or completions you didn't earn.
• Sell, rent, or hand over an account, a save file, or unlocked content to anyone else.
• Use the games to break the law, or in any way Apple's own terms prohibit.

If you do these things we may stop the game working for you, and any Neurons or unlocks go with it.

What belongs to us

The games, their code, artwork, music, level data, puzzle sets, the name Synapse Neural Puzzle, and the name and logo of Ruby Intelligence LLC belong to Ruby Intelligence LLC. Nothing here gives you the right to use them outside the game. You're welcome to stream or record yourself playing, and to keep any ad revenue from that.

The games will change

We add levels, adjust balance, and sometimes remove things that aren't working. A game may be discontinued, and a service it relies on may stop. If we materially change what a paid benefit includes, we'll say so in the game or on this site before the change takes effect.

Disclaimer

The games are provided as they are. We don't promise they'll be free of bugs, that they'll run on every device or every version of iOS, or that your progress can always be recovered. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Ruby Intelligence LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the games, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim. If you've never paid us anything, that amount is nothing.

Some places don't allow limits like these. Where that's true, this section applies only as far as it's permitted, and the rest of it doesn't.

Ending the agreement

You can end it at any time by deleting the game. We can end it if you break these terms. Either way, the sections about intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability carry on afterwards.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts sitting in Williamson County, Tennessee.

That doesn't take away consumer rights you have where you live. If your local law gives you rights or remedies that can't be waived by agreement, you keep them, and you can bring a claim where your law lets you.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the effective date at the top of this page, and we'll announce material changes in the game or on this site before they take effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
